RE: Dual Power Adapter

I just installed one on a 30 amp coach and it solved the problem exactly as promised. The problem, in my case, was that I couldn't run two A/Cs at the same time from shore power. I wouldn't think that would be a problem with 50 amp, so what problem are you trying to overcome?

RE: Road Service Response Time

I called G.S. for a flat tire. I was hold so long, I thjought my cell battery would go flat. The dispacher said she'd get right on it and call me back with ETA. She never called back, and I had to start the whole process again. I will not be renewing.

RE: Do I have an inverter?

I'm thinking the charger function may be more important than the ability of the inverter. I've read quite a bit on here about how an inverter/charger is the best way to keep the house batteries charged without overcharging. What would be a good system for that?

RE: Do I have an inverter?

Thanx, guys. I am arriving at the conclusion that I don't have a converter. I'll try the TV test next time I'm at the M/H. Any recommendations as to which one I should buy? Cheap but good!;)

Do I have an inverter?

I have a '04 Four Winds Infinity (by Thor). I have read a lot on this forum about the advantages of a good quality inverter/charger and I'm convinced.
What I'm not sure of, though, is whether or not I have an inverter on my coach now. I have looked, and the power distribution box, which is located at the bottom of the bed, seems to be just that, a power distribution only. It is a 'Parallax 80' unit. Does anyone know whether my coach has an inverter, and if so where it's likely to be hidden?
I'd appreciate any help. I hate to buy what I may already have.

RE: Water Regulators cheeky critters Du U Use them ???

Picked one of these up for a dollar at an estate sale, works great.

Is this type 'preset'? If not, how do you set your required pressure with no gauge?

RE: Rubber roofs, Why?

Why do so many manufactures use rubber roofs? What are the pros and cons of them? Love my MH, just have questions and concerns on the benefits of having a rubber roof. Thanks for any and all advice.

RE: Dealer profit

Seems to me, as there's no fixed 'MSRP' you could be getting 25% from one dealer, but getting a better deal at 20% from another. Just depends where he chooses to set his 'MSRP':h

RE: Good Sam CSP

Since WRV has closed the doors and left me with a new coach and no warranty, I was wondering what kind of luck every body has had with Good Sam or other extended warranties.
Lot's of previous threads on the subject. Just do a search.

RE: Ever heard of "Fuel Pro"

Since MPG is a seldom discussed topic these days, I thought I would add something on the subject. I filled up at a truck stop tonight. Met a driver who mentioned he improved his fuel consumption by 1 MPG, improved his power, and smoothed out his idle, by using an additive called Fuel Pro, or something like that. Said he saved twice the cost of the additive in fuel savings??? I don't think he was selling it, and he didn't seem like the windy type, so I thought I would check it out. Mine seems to idle a bit rough and I could always use a MPG improvement. Couldn't find the product in an Internet search. Found nothing in a forum search. Maybe I'm spelling it wrong??? Any input?
Maybe it's 'fool'pro.

RE: Electric hookup

Heading out on our first trip , 99 Southwind. Checking list twice etc, do we need any adapter or cord for the electic hook up at sire? We have the balck cord in the Rv but am wondering if we are missing something.
Thanks
We bought our first motorhome and it didn't have an extension cord to connect to shore, so I bought one at CW for about $40.00. I threw it in the RV and headed out for our first trip. After we got set in our space I tried to connect, only to discover we had that rare motorhome that requires a 'Marine Connection' to the rig, so my extension was no use. We fished up driving the coach through the town looking for an RV shop that had a suitable cord. We found one and it was $175.00. Of course there's a lesson here. Check that you not only have the cord, but that it's the right cord.

RE: Getting smoke out of a used RV

We bought a car once that had that tobacco smell....I put one of my Lamp Berger` in it with windows up for a couple of hours...no more tobacco smell...not even when you turned on the ac!! I knew how good it was on cooking odors in the house, so figured it couldn't hurt to try it in the car. When we sold the car, you still could not tell it had ever been smoked in!
What's a "Lamp Berger'"

RE: OOPS!!!! Boo Boo #1

We've owned our coach just over a year.
Hit a Stop Sign doing a 37 point turn ($637) Tree branches, Snow Bank, Guard Rail ($2100) lucky they were all on the same side. Also paid $200 for driving lessons... lot of good they did.

RE: The hunt is over!!!

We bought a '04 Four Winds Infinity about 15-16 months ago. What year is yours? This was our first motorhome, first anything really, and we were very lucky, because we didn'r know much about them but we love it. We only get to do short trips and annual vacations but we'd love to do more. Ours has 2 A/Cs so we just installed a 'Power Solutions' kit and it's working like a dream. If I can help with any questions, let me know.

RE: Good Sam ERS strikes again

I called Good Sam Roadside assistance today for a flat. I was on hold for 30 minutes. I was afraid my battery would die before I got a response. When I did get a response the lady took all of my info. and said she would call me 'right back' with info. on the co. that would be coming out and ETA. She never called back. An hour later I called again and was on hold for 20 minutes. This lady didn't want to know about the forst debacle, but did get a tire co. out to do the job.
The guy said that G.S. had changed their service co. in January and that the new co. is having a lot of 'teething problems'. I will not be renewing with them.:M
